We have three main groups who assist our clergy during liturgical services:
Choir: Our Choir is present at each service, representing the whole congregation in singing hymns to God. Through much dedication, our choir has learnt and sung hymns of both prayer and beauty, from a range of composers and in a variety of liturgical styles. Being as singing is a vital component of our services, the choir forms a vital role in our worship of God. They are also able to sing at special services (e.g. baptisms, weddings, etc), and to give exhibitions of church music. Situated adjacent to the body of the church during services, our choir is very welcoming of people. If you would like to join, please speak to Fr Andrew at church.
Readers: Each week, during services, there are certain parts (e.g. services of the Hours or during the Vigil) that are read by especially designated members of our congregation. These have the responsibility to proclaim the word of God in such a way that it penetrates through the noise and is received by the listener. Please see Fr Andrew at church for more details.
Altar: Our Altar Servers are tasked with the responsibility of assisting the priest at divine services. If your son would like to join them, please speak to Fr Andrew at church.
