Deacon Palladius van Zyl

Fr Palladius serves as a Deacon at Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church.

Born and raised in the Dutch Reformed tradition in Pretoria, South Africa, he emigrated to Southeast Queensland as an adult, and he experienced a variety of Protestant faiths.  Some years later, he was invited to visit an Orthodox church.  Moved by its beauty and historical continuity, he converted to the Orthodox Church.

In 2023, Fr Palladius was ordained to the diaconate, and he continues to serve as our coordinator for liturgical ministries - ensuring that our clergy, choir, readers, and servers have what is needed for the glorification of God.
