Priest Stephen David

Fr Stephen was raised in a devout home in Sydney. While he was in Canberra, he was received into the Orthodox Church at St John the Baptist Cathedral, in Narrabundah, where he was subsequently ordained to the diaconate in 2018 and the priesthood in 2020. In 2021, he was transferred to Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church, where he serves to this day.  He is married with two children, and speaks English & Arabic.

In addition to his liturgical duties, Fr Stephen's parish work focuses on education, where he leads our Sunday School and teaches within our Faith Education program.

Beyond his parish service, Fr Stephen serves as the Head of St John of Kronstadt Academy, which holds the dual distinctions of being the first Orthodox school to open in Brisbane, and the first Classical Orthodox school to open in Australia.
